Bonnie Sandstrom

Bonnie Sandstrom has had a life long love of the visual arts.
Careers as a Registered Nurse and raising a family did not allow
time for the active participation she always wanted.

With retirement in 2003 came a permanent move to Door
County. Here was the wonderful opportunity to finally learn to
draw and paint. She has taken numerous classes at the Peninsula
Art School, The Clearing, Richeson School of Art, and
Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College. It was at the
Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College that Mary Bosman
introduced her to pastels and continues to offer teaching, advice
and encouragement. Bonnie has participated in shows at The
Clearing, Door County Art League, and the Northeastern
Wisconsin Technical College. Her work has been accepted in the
Hardy Center for the Arts. She is a member of the Door County
Art League and active volunteer at the Peninsula Art
School, The Clearing, and the Hardy Center for the Arts.

She says, “I desire to share the joy of my surroundings here in
Door County and in my travels abroad. I hope, with my love of
color and realism, I am able to show this.”
