" March Thaw "
Glenn Gerber
My career goal was always to be an artist.  I earned a BFA
degree from Layton School of Art in 1966 and an MA degree
and teaching certificate at the University of Wisconsin in
Madison in 1968.  Upon finishing my studies I moved to
Racine and began a career as an Art teacher/Artist that lasted
thirty-two years.  While exhibiting my work in state and
national shows I won a number of awards.  I have work in
collections in North America and Europe.

The year 2000 brought a new century to all and retirement
to me.  My wife Marty and I relocated to Door County to join
the art community.  We joined the Door County Art League
and I currently serve as Vice President.

I have regularly exhibited in juried shows at the Miller, the
Hardy, the PAS and Barnsite as well as the DCAL Showcase
Galleries and have continued to win awards with my Door
County presentations.   My work is available  in the Paintbox
    Gallery.

My paintings are primarily landscapes and the majesty of
    nature is my direct inspiration.
