Hermke Timm was born in 1938 in Berlin,
Germany. He completed his apprenticeship in
engraving in 1958. In 1964 he earned his Degree
in Master of Art and Engraving.
In 1964 he moved to Chicago, IL and continued
his education at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Since 1994 he has worked in his studio on
Whitefish Bay in Door County.
Engraving, Watercolor, Drawing, Tempra.
Won numerous awards in Germany and USA
