Artist Statement

I have had a lifelong love of the visual arts. Careers as a Registered Nurse and raising a family did not allow time for the active participation I always wanted.
With retirement in 2003 came a permanent move to Door County WI. Here was the wonderful opportunity to finally learn to draw and paint. The very large art community has an abundance of artists who willingly offer instruction, support and encouragement. These many artists have my gratitude.
I have found that nature and people capture my interest. In responding to and painting these I hope to share and convey my wishes for a more tolerant and peaceful world.
